KINRADEN appointed Northbanks to deliver its new shop-in-shop at Liberty London in September 2026. Northbanks turned the Copenhagen brand’s design and manufactured furniture into an installed retail space, managing preparation, coordination, installation, and local support.
The project brought together an overseas brand and manufacturer with a London department store, each with different responsibilities and requirements. KINRADEN wanted the space to retain the identity of its Copenhagen concept while working within Liberty’s design and operational restrictions. The programme tightened as design discussions and approvals progressed.
The UK team had a short preparation period before the scheduled installation. The crates arrived on 1 September, with installation programmed for 8 September and opening on14 September. Delivery slots, contractor access, documentation and the sequence of assembly all needed to be coordinated around that programme.
The furniture required careful handling and assembly: two display counters and a back wall delivered in four main sections, with glazing, fabric-lined interiors and integrated lighting. The back wall was designed to be self-supporting, without fixing into the existing walls. UK electrical connections and retailer documentation added further interfaces to manage.
Northbanks’ appointment covered:
The agreed scope was a UK delivery service. KINRADEN retained control of its design intent, while Sourzing’s responsibilities included engineering, manufacture, factory assembly, packaging and international shipping.Â

Northbanks put preparation before the store installation at the centre of the delivery plan. KINRADEN selected the fuller service option because it included UK assembly verification and a rehearsal, giving the team an opportunity to review the furniture before working within Liberty’s restricted access window.
After receipt in the UK, the back-wall cabinetry was assembled for review, with its lighting operating. This allowed the team to look at the furniture, detailing and assembly ahead of delivery to the store.
Alongside this, Northbanks coordinated the installation information with Liberty and the supplier. Emma Williamson brought together the documentation, delivery arrangements and site access, while the team maintained communication with KINRADEN and Sourzing. This gave the client a local point of coordination across the UK delivery stage.
Pre-installation assembly and review. Northbanks arranged a UK test build of the supplied furniture before installation. Reviewing the assembled back wall and lighting gave the team a practical opportunity to check how the components came together away from the sales floor.
A coordinated route into Liberty. Northbanks organised the local delivery and installation arrangements and submitted the supporting documentation, including RAMS, the Design Risk Assessment, CDM checklist, insurance and fire certification. Liberty confirmed approval of the submitted documents on 4 September, with access forms following separately.
Installation of the brand’s retail concept. The supplied scheme combined high-gloss blue cabinetry, walnut-coloured veneer and fabric-lined display interiors with glazed jewellery counters, storage, a till position and illuminated branding. Northbanks coordinated and installed that scheme within the existing store setting, retaining the client’s design direction.
Local support after installation. Northbanks remained the UK point of contact for follow-up work, arranging site attendance and coordinating remedial details with the manufacturer and Liberty.

The installed concession gave KINRADEN a recognisable setting within Liberty’s first-floor Jewellery Gallery, bringing together the blue back wall, illuminated displays and two freestanding counters. In September 2026, the brand was welcoming customers to the space, giving shoppers the opportunity to experience its collections in person.
WHY IT MATTERS
For Northbanks, the project demonstrates the value of a local delivery partner when a brand is designing and manufacturing overseas. The contribution lay in connecting the supplied furniture and design information with UK preparation, store requirements, installation and follow-up support.
