Alex Monroe, known for their nature-inspired jewellery, needed to align their retail presence with their sustainability goals. They wanted to eliminate plastic from their point-of-sale displays across 500 stores while creating an attractive, functional system that showcased their products effectively.

We collaborated closely with Alex Monroe to develop a POS suite that would:
- Support their commitment to become plastic-free by 2025
- Provide flexibility for different store layouts and product collects
- Enhance the visual appeal of their jewellery
- Tell their sustainability story through materials and design
The
Solution
Our design team created a modular green POS suite that aesthetically complemented Alex Monroe’s nature-inspired jewellery featuring:
- Sustainable materials – Including recycled wood, bamboo and eco-friendly composites.
- Environmentally-friendly – Inks and manufacturing processes.
- Adaptable components – These were designed so they could be configured for different store needs.
The rollout included:
- Collaborative design sessions to ensure the solution met both practical and brand requirements.
- Careful selection of manufacturing partners who shared sustainability values.
- Coordinated deployment across 500 retail locations.
- Training for store staff on the versatility of the modular system.

The sustainable POS suite successfully:

- Enhanced the customer experience by showcasing products in an appealing, eco-friendly way
- Earned recognition through being finalists in 2025 VM&D Awards for both “BEST INSTORE VM SOLUTION” and “BEST SUSTAINABLE/ECO FRIENDLY PRODUCT” and shortlisted at the 2024 Creative Retail Awards for Best Sustainable Display.
This project demonstrated how practical retail solutions can support and strengthen a brand’s core values.
